For my Christmas ornament this year I wanted to depict the triumph of an angel proclaiming "good tidings of great joy" to the world. I decided to put the angel onto the back of a tortoise because tortoises represent the idea that slow, consistent perseverance through life is how to achieve our goals and pursuits. That along with divine help, helps us to obtain our deepest desires and to learn and grow through life.

This ornament we built digitally on my iPad with digital assets I collected and created (hence I call this a digital assemblage), then printed on my 3d printers and hand painted in 3 layers to create a faux bronze finish (something I pride myself in being good at).
