Condescension Is a piece based on a parable in the Book of Mormon called Lehi’s Dream. The piece is riddled with symbolism that bases itself in the parable, but takes on a new twist as I have added imagery alluding to the conflict we see in the United States today. I wanted to portray the parable, but also share my feelings about what is going on in the world, and more specifically the country that I love. I wanted to portray the “noise” we hear on social media, the news, and in the world in general. The biggest redeeming factor that see in the tumult is the Savior, and his role in the overall plan for our lives and the world in general.
